That’s right! The blog party that has been in the works is finally here! I am so excited! I can’t wait for all of you to join in on the fun! You are going to get to meet some of the bloggers I have come to know in this journey and hopefully get to know me a bit better! I can’t even believe it. . . the reason I decided to throw this party was for multiple reasons. My blog has grown a lot over the last several years, that and I had some awesome things I wanted to giveaway to all of you who have joined me on my humble journey and shared your encouragement over the years. And. . . I reached 200 followers. Numbers have never been a big deal to me. Maybe an “oh, that’s cool”, but I would much rather focus on individuals and how special each person is than be that blogger with the bazillion followers. You all mean a lot to me as is evidenced by the fact that I do this blog for you all. I do this because I felt like God wanted me to share my heart and encourage others like me to follow Him. I hope and pray with all my heart that I have achieved that with this blog. So without further more ado, let’s get into today’s blog party happenings!
I thought I would give you a bit of a glimpse into the meaning behind my blog name. It sounds cool, but a lot of you, if not all of you, probably have no idea why I chose to name my business and my blog that. So here goes!
Ruffles: Ruffles is something that I love. They invoke a certain daintiness, femininity and general girly-ness into life. I have always loved them and they signify a goal that I started this blog with. To encourage other young girls in their femininity and being who God created them to be. Girls are awesome ladies. God has created us in such a special, beautiful way, and I wanted to share that specialness and how I choose to embrace it. I am a girly girl, always have been and I take such delight in it.
Grace: The Lord has extended Grace to all of us. Without it, I wouldn’t be where I am, I wouldn’t be who I am, and I most certainly may not even be here at all. Through the Grace that God has chosen to show to His people, to my parents, to me, and to everyone, we can be free, be chosen, be holy, and spend all eternity with Him. The grace of sending His son should never be taken lightly and the reason that is a part of my name is because that is why I live the way I do. Through, because, and for God’s grace.
Several weeks ago, I asked my blog followers and my goodreads followers to ask me any questions they had a mind to. Here is part one of me answer them. I picked all the easy questions and made them into a rapid fire questions. Don’t worry, if I didn’t answer your question here, then I will probably answer it in the video I will be posting later this week as a part of the festivities.
